Monday isn’t known for being the best day of the week, but I had a pretty good one yesterday. Marie and Taylor were both gone for various reasons, so I took the day off to hang out with Charlotte - a little father/daughter time. She got up around 8:30 and we ate some breakfast and then just chilled on the couch watching The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie. The first is a classic that I enjoyed very much as a child. The latter is a new spinoff that she absolutely loves. We played outside on the swingset/fort thing in our backyard, ate some lunch and took off for the zoo.
Charlotte LOVES the zoo. She gets excited at every animal. We hung out there for about an hour and a half before heading home. She was sound asleep long before we got back to the house.
She slept for a few hours and I got caught up on a little House.
(I love that show.)
I made dinner and we ate and played with her toys for an hour or two.
All in all, we both had a great time. It was one of the best “vacation” days I’ve ever taken.
By the way, if you live in the Montgomery area and have kids, I highly recommend an annual zoo membership. It’s actually a very good zoo and it’s only $50 per year for a family of two parents and up to six children.
