I took the kids through the Chick-Fil-A drive-thru yesterday. One problem: It is out-of-commission. Fortunately, this was Chick-Fil-A. They had two employees out there along the line of cars. One was taking orders on a notepad and passing them to the second person, who was on a cell phone to someone inside the store. She gave me the total and we proceeded to drive around and pick up our food. Even without a functioning drive-through, they were still faster than any other fast food place in town.
On a side note: someone told me that the reason they have great customer service is that they try to only hire people who actually want a job and want to work. They try to avoid people who resent the fact that they work at a fast food restaurant. I don’t know if it’s true, but it makes sense.

Dude,
Same thing happened to me, I went to B-King and they had a sign on the drive thru thing that said “Sorry, not working”…Then I went to Chik-Fil-A and there was a woman out there with a two-way taking orders…They’re amazing. I was literally about to post my experience…weird.

That’s funny. I was at mom and dad’s eating with the kids (our Chick-Fil-A) and she told me about that when I told her what had happened.
I went through the KFC on the blvd (near the post office) a few weeks ago and I waited for like 2 minutes at the drive-thru. No sign. No anything. Finally, someone talks via the speaker and says, “Drive-thru’s closed. You can come inside if you want something,” to which I replied, “That’s OK. I’ll go someplace else.”
If you act like my wanting to purchase your product is a hassle to you, I’ll go somewhere else.
