Usually, by this time of the year, I am ready for fall and winter. I am pretty much a fall/winter guy. Sure, I enjoy the warm weather for a while. I enjoy taking the kids to the pool and all that, but generally, I’d rather be cool than hot.
That has never been more true than the last week or so. The temperatures in our area have soared into the triple digits, with heat indexes over 110 degrees. That is too much for me. We’ve been down at the coast for a little vacation for a couple days and the heat is just as unbearable here. I’m ready to wake up to cool, crisp mornings again. Fall is just around the corner, and I could not be more eager for its arrival!
