Well, it’s been a while. The last month has been just insane for us. Back on the weekend of March 11, my brother was married to his fiancée, Kristin. We had a great time in Florida celebrating with them and spending time with friends and family. Two weeks ago, Marie, Charlotte and I (Taylor stayed with the grandparents) took a much-needed vacation to Gatlinburg with Jordan, Kristin, and some good friends. It was unbelievably nice to just get away to just relax. We also just finished our Easter musical this past Sunday. It wasn’t a full-length musical, but it was 8 or 9 songs plus an Easter message. Everyone worked hard and it came together quite nicely.
In between all this, we got sick. Really sick. The week before our Gatlinburg trip, we all ended up with some sort of fever bug that just seemed to hang around. We had 103 degree fevers and just felt lousy for days. Upon returning from Gatlinburg, Marie and I ended up catching something else. I’ll spare you the details, but it was not fun. I am still not 100%, but am feeling much better now.
So, with all this going on, blogging just hasn’t been high on the list of things to do. Between weddings, illnesses, band practices, work and trips; it has been a non-stop marathon lately. It seems like things are finally calming down and life is slowly returning to normal.
Sometimes normal is good.
Dude, that is so sad. I got the flew on my way back from a business trip last month. It just about killed me, so it felt.
