Just a quick tip:
If you are going to email a large number of people and you are not confident that all the recipients already have one another’s email addresses, please make use of the BCC. BCC stands for “Blind Carbon Copy.” If you are in Outlook or Outlook Express, just go to View – BCC Field. Anytime I have to send a mass email of any kind, I put my own address in the To: field and everyone else in the BCC: field. That way, the individual recipients do not see everyone else’s email address. Any address in the To: or CC: fields are always viewable by all the other recipients. Addresses in the BCC: field are not.
I have a personal account that I guard very closely. I NEVER give it out except to people I know personally and with whom I want to correspond. I don’t want that address being distributed. I know I am not alone.
Respect the privacy of those you email. They’ll appreciate it.
thanks for the reminder…..i’ve always known about that, i’ve just never remembered to actually use it.

Well, it isn’t often I need to use it. It’s usually just when sending mail for the church or something like that. Of course, when everyone has everyone’s email already (like family or our emails among friends) then you would not want to use it. I recently received a mass email from someone who accidentally put everyone (like 300 people) in the To: line and that spurred me to mention it here.
